SECTION 10237

CAST ALUMINUM WALL VENTS

*****  Sunvent Industries, a division of Sylro Sales Corporation, manufacturers several types of aluminum louvered wall vents for ventilating crawl spaces, ceiling plenums, chimney flues, foundations, pipe spaces, and other conditions.  These vents are typically installed in masonry walls and include custom vents and return air vents.  Both extruded and cast aluminum vents are provided.  Accessories include insect screens, ducts, dampers, and inside registers.

This guide specification section can be used to specify Sunvent Model C, cast aluminum, load bearing, louvered wall vent.  Extruded aluminum wall vents without perimeter flanges, Sunvent Model EX, can be specified with SECTION 10235 - EXTRUDED ALUMINUM WALL VENTS.  Sunvent Model FL, a flanged extruded aluminum wall vent, can be specified with SECTION 10236 - EXTRUDED ALUMINUM FLANGED WALL VENTS.

The specifier will need to edit this product specification for a specific project to reflect the options and applications being used.  The guide section has been written so that most editing can be accomplished by deleting unnecessary requirements.  Options are indicated by [   ].  Notes to assist the specifier in selecting options and editing the specification guide are printed in bold and indicated with *****.  For final editing, all brackets and notes will need to be deleted from the guide.
