EXTRUDED ALUMINUM FLANGED WALL VENTS **** Sunvent Industries, a division of Sylro Sales Corporation, manufacturers several types of aluminum louvered wall vents, dryer vents, louver vents and louvered vents for ventilating crawl spaces, ceiling plenums, chimney flues, foundations, pipe spaces, and other conditions. Both extruded and cast aluminum vents are available. Accessories include insect screens, ducts, dampers, and inside registers for all of our dryer vents, lover vents, and other models. This guide specification section can be used to specify Sunvent Model FL, extruded aluminum wall vent with a flanged perimeter frame. Sunvent aluminum vents are typically installed in masonry walls. However, Sunvent Model FL with its flanged perimeter frame is suitable for installation in stud framed and other types of walls with a variety of finishes allowing versatility and can be used as a dryer or louver vent. The flanged frame allows for installation of the dryer vent in existing walls and is appropriate for renovation projects. The perimeter flange will cover edge of opening cut or constructed in wall for vent. Extruded aluminum wall vents without perimeter flanges, Sunvent Model EX, can be specified with SECTION 10235 - EXTRUDED ALUMINUM WALL VENTS. Cast aluminum wall vents can be specified with SECTION 10237 - CAST ALUMINUM WALL VENTS. The specifier will need to edit this product specification for a specific project to reflect the options and applications being used. The guide section has been written so that most editing can be accomplished by deleting unnecessary requirements. Options are indicated by [ ]. Notes to assist the specifier in selecting options and editing the specification guide areprinted in bold and indicated with *****. For final editing, all brackets and notes will need to be deleted from the guide. ****************************************************************************** PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 SUMMARY ***** Edit the following paragraph to reflect project conditions. ***** A.
